Immigration Evaluation
and
Consultation
My Approach to Immigration Evaluations
My approach to immigration evaluations is grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice. I create a safe, respectful space where individuals can share deeply personal experiences at their own pace, recognizing the impact that trauma, migration, and systemic inequities have on mental health and wellbeing.
Each evaluation is comprehensive and individualized, integrating clinical expertise with a nuanced understanding of the legal context. I carefully assess psychological functioning, the effects of trauma and adversity, and the potential impact of immigration outcomes on the individual and their family. My reports are thorough, clearly written, and aligned with legal standards, ensuring they effectively support the client's case.
I approach this work with sensitivity, professionalism, and a deep commitment to dignity and justice. I collaborate closely with attorneys when appropriate, while maintaining clinical independence and ethical integrity. My goal is not only to document psychological impact, but to ensure that each person's story is accurately, respectfully, and powerfully represented.
